Purpose:

• This programme aims at educating care givers and those with a loved one suffering from mental illness. It comprises 8 modules held over 3 consecutive Sundays.

Topics:

• understanding mental illness, medication and side effects, caring for family members with mental illness and helping them to recover, communication skills, handling crisis, self-care, rights of persons with mental illness

Who should attend:

• care givers and family members of persons with mental illness, volunteers, and members of the public who are interested

Fees:

• RM30 per person for a full course including training materials, lunch and refreshments
